What licenses do I need?
A current Nebraska resident or non-resident hunting license or a High Plains Ringnecks CSA license (purchasable at the Lodge). A current Nebraska Habitat stamp is also required. Proof of Hunter Education required and must be carried on person for those 29 years old and younger.
Is there a limit on birds?
Operating as a CSA, there is not a limit on the number of birds you can shoot. Additional birds to your hunting package are available and ar priced per bird.

How long are memberships valid?
Your HPR membership year runs September 1st (opening day for CSA Pheasant Hunting) through April 15th of the following year. Memberships must be renewed annually. You can learn more about HRP's exclusive memberships here.
Are guides required on all hunts?
Only members may hunt self-guided with their own dogs. All-inclusive and day hunts are guided hunts.
How many can hunt in a group?
On upland hunts we can accommodate multiple groups with a limit of 5 per group for safety. We try to avoid combining parties as our properties are laid out in a way that we can accommodate several small groups at the same time. We may break large parties in smaller groups to make for a safer, more enjoyable experience.
Can we bring non-hunting guests?
Yes, non-hunting guests are allowed to share in your experience at the non-hunting rate.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we encourage and welcome your four-legged companions. We have a one-acre dog run and shelters at the lodge. Dogs are not allowed inside the Lodge, however dogs will be allowed in the shop side of the Lodge in crates. Dogs must be accompanied by a current vaccination sheet for rabies, kennel cough and distemper/Parvo.
What type of ammo and shot size are required?
Lead or steel, limited to shot size 6 or smaller. We will have 12ga. and 20ga. ammunition available for purchase at the Lodge.
Do I need to bring a gun?
Personal guns are welcome and encouraged, however contact us for other arrangements.
What are the closest airports?
We are conveniently located near Western Nebraska Regional Airport (Scottsbluff, NE), North Platte Regional Airport (North Platte, NE), Cheyenne Regional Airport (Cheyenne, WY) and Denver International Airport (Denver, CO).
Private planes may fly into Sidney Municipal Airport located 20 miles west of HPR.
Will I have cell service?
While dependent on your carrier, cell phone coverage is very good at the Lodge and fields. Verizon coverage is very good in our area.
