DOVE HUNTING
An early season favorite that typically offers exciting action and steady shooting. Polish up those shooting skills by reserving a dove field for when you aren't walking up pheasants! Available to members and non-members. Fields are limited and must be reserved at time of booking.
VARMINT/PREDATOR HUNTING
Make your stay complete with 1/2 day predator calling or prairie dog shoots. We have access to thousands upon thousands of acres to call coyotes on. Excellent guides with a wealth of knowledge about calling coyotes and shooting. We also have access to some very expansive prairie dog towns that can provide hours of shooting fun! Bring along your favorite predator/varmint rifle and plenty of ammo.
TRAP SHOOTING
Warm up your gun barrel with some friendly trap shooting games! We have access to a full shooting park or join us at our personal trap pit for a little fun before or during your hunt. Shooting park will require a small fee. Trap pit clays are free, just bring your target loads or purchase them from our Pro Shop!
ICE FISHING
Seasonally we here at HPR are happy to offer day ice fishing trips. We have all the gear and knowledge to provide you with a fun day on the ice with the possibility of sending you home with some tasty fish to go along with your pheasants! Availability weather dependent.
BISON HUNTS
There are not many animals more American than a Bison. Here at HPR we have the unique opportunity to offer you a bison/pheasant combo! The Bison are hunted on a giant 85,000 acre ranch in the sandhills about 45 minutes away from the lodge. Our very own Judd Lee will be your guide. He has guided over 30 bison hunts on the ranch. These bison qualify for the super 10, North American 27, and your Super Slam (personally confirmed with GSCO).This hunt is typically done in one day, then the bison dropped off at a processor. This combo works great as the processor needs a couple days to prepare your delicious meat to go home, leaving you with ample time to have a few days of great pheasant hunting and accommodations! The number of trophy bison are limited each year and are hunted Dec-Feb, so this hunt addition needs to be planned at time of booking. Bison add-on is $6500
PARNTER HUNTS
At HPR we have aligned ourselves and work with the best of the best outfitters in our area. We are happy to put together a Cast and Blast, an upland/walleye combo. We also offer a Pheasant/Waterfowl combo, or can help you get in on a Merriams Turkey hunt in the spring or a whitetail, mule deer, or antelope hunt in the fall. Some of these hunts are very limited and will take plenty of pre-planning but that’s what we are here for.
